Dramatis Personae: The Characters of Carmanda
Dramatis Personae is a 116 page 8.5”x11” landscape oriented full color hardback collection of my artwork, behind-the-scenes sketches, process tutorials, and character backstories. The book is divided into five chapters. The first, "Singular Selves," shares some of my classic characters and most popular illustrations from over the years, as well as some never-before-printed character concepts and behind the scenes development work. The other chapters are "Odd Couples," which delves into the stories behind my three character pairings; "Novel Personalities," which features concept art and sneak peeks at my in-progress novel characters; "Fun With Friends," which gives character and story backgrounds to some roleplaying characters that have featured in my illustrations; and "The Process," in which I share more process sketches and some of my favorite lessons from my 8 year teaching career.
